SPECIAL NEEDS
For disabled drivers Drive
Rite has a fully equipped
disability vehicle
which can be fitted with a radial right-hand control,
a steering spinner, indicator bar, and left-hand
accelerator, plus instructor's dual controls.
DISABILITY & INSTRUCTOR CAR MODIFICATIONS
We can customise, design and fit, and install dual controls for driving instructor vehicles, and left hand accelerator modifications for automatic vehicles; also including indicator extention bars.

CLASS 2 LICENSE
Before you do an approved course for your Class 2 license with Drive-Rite (Manawatu), you must have already obtained a Class 2 Learner License from the appropriate agency. To obtain the Class 2 Learners License YOU MUST:
- have held a full class 1 (car) license for at least 6 months
- supply a medical certificate from your doctor
- pass the theory test comprising of 25 questions from the road code and 10 specialist Truck questions
IF you need help to obtain your Class 2 Learners License contact Drive-Rite (Manawatu).
Once you have completed the Class 2 approved course, comprising of two unit standards and a training/assessment in a Class 2 Truck, and are deemed competent, you will be issued a certificate; which you then take to your licencing agency, in order to have Class 2 added to your current license.
Drive-Rite will provide the truck, (unless you wish to supply your own vehicle, which is required to be loaded to at least half its payload), for the on-road assessment drive.

Defensive Driving course. Successfully completing
this course not only makes you a safer, more considerate
driver - it also reduces your restricted license
period by 6 months, enabling you as a new driver to
gain your full license significantly earlier. Drive
Rite instructors have
offered Defensive Driving courses since 1992.
